The End surprises trade experts

There were two well known films starring popular faces that released yesterday but none of them managed to get good openings. It was a small film The End that surprised everyone with its opening.

The End is a very low budget film made and starring newcomers. The makers previously gained recognition due to the short film they have made. Still with films of known names and faces, having the likes of Naga Shourya and Sumanth Ashwin in leads, one expected them to open bigger.

The trade opines that horror genre did the trick for The End. In the recent past films of these genres even the low budget ones have opened well and earned profits for all the people involved. Will The End too follow a similar paradigm?
