For some odd reason, Tollywood seems to be obsessed with the March 28 release slot. The same is to be understood if we look at the kind of mad rush that is associated with the same.
First, it was Vijay Deverakonda’s ongoing VD12 that had locked this date and made an official announcement on the same. With this being touted to be the most promising from Vijay in recent times, it built solid ground.
This was followed by an announcement from the makers of Pawan Kalyan’s OG who announced their film would release on March 27. Considering the buzz on the film, the anticipation built up on the date.
Later, in a strange development, PK’s Hari Hara Veera Mallu was announced for release on the March. This meant OG was being replaced by HHVM.
Now, in a new development, another wild rumor is in circulation and it claims that Chiranjeevi’s Viswambhara is in consideration for March 28 slot.
March 28 has quickly become a priced possession for Tollywood, considering it precedes the auspicious Ugadi eve. This has naturally built up good demand for the date.
For now, VD12 is the only confirmed film for this date and we have to wait and see how things proceed in the days to follow.
