Bloody Romeo: Nani Moves On, Odela Back to Square One

The Paradise was expected to explode at the box office and emerge as a huge blockbuster, given its hype and craze. But the film turned out to be a terrible disappointment with unheard-of trolling from the theatrical audience. The expectations were massive, but the final outcome completely failed.

Now, people associated with the film have started moving on to their next projects.

Nani is shifting his focus to Sujeeth’s Bloody Romeo. Producer Sudhakar Cherukuri is moving on to Sri Sri, starring Dulquer Salmaan and Pooja Hegde. Meanwhile, Anirudh is busy with Jailer 2 and other projects.

Everyone seems to have something to look forward to. But what about The Paradise director Srikanth Odela?

His situation looks more difficult than others. His project with Chiranjeevi is also reportedly almost shelved for now. After the failure of a film that was expected to be a career-defining blockbuster, Srikanth has a lot to prove. He cannot simply blame the audience or move on as if nothing happened. He needs to understand where things went wrong, own his mistakes and ensure that his next script doesn’t repeat them.

More importantly, he needs to convince Nani or another hero to trust him again. That won’t be easy after The Paradise fiasco.

For Nani, however, the priority seems clear: get back to work and avoid repeating the mistakes of the past.

Nani is known for his fast-working style, regularly aiming to release two films a year. But The Paradise disrupted that pattern, reportedly consuming nearly two years of his valuable time that didn’t add anything worthwhile to his career as an actor or a star.

That experience appears to have forced Nani to rethink his approach. Reports suggest he wants to complete Bloody Romeo in just 50 days, with the regular shoot expected to begin after Dussehra.

Srikanth Odela is the one who has to start from scratch again. The Paradise was supposed to take him to the next level. Instead, it has brought him back to where he started. He needs to make the industry believe in him all over again, which is not going to be easy.
