Theatres Won’t Open This Year, Suresh Babu’s Prediction

Now, though the artist, technicians and the daily wage workers in the film industry would be one of the worst affected persons due to the present situation, the producers who invested crores in their upcoming movies would be the ones who are in a big dilemma.

If the present situation prevails, there is a prediction that the theatres that have been closed might remain closed for the coming months even, i.e., they may remain closed for this year. Producer Suresh Babu who owns several theatres feels the same.

Another producer and theatre chain owner Sunil Narang feels that we need to follow the government orders and therefore, there is no way to open the theatres until the lockdown halts. Some theatres may close down completely even after the pandemic crisis.

Many producers are concerned as Corona infection scare will not allow audiences to come to theatres. So, until the virus is contained and the situation comes under control, there will be no certainty regarding the activities of theatres.
