There’s More Than Cricket in Nani’s Jersey

Nani‘s ‘Jersey’ is coming on 19th April as scheduled earlier and the makers aren’t much worried about the Election Schedule as the Lok Sabha elections would conclude by then. Going by the face of it, the movie looks like a proper sports drama that is woven around cricket and a middle-aged cricketer.

However, the director of the movie confirms that there’s more to the film, not just the game. Cricket will be in the backdrop and it is mainly an emotional drama between a father and a son. We know that Nani is playing a thirty-six-year-old struggling cricketer in ‘Jersey’. Gowtham Tinnanuri who directed the movie made his debut with Sumanth’s ‘Malli Raava’ quit his job in Deloitte and came here to make films.

He had this penchant for writing stories and learnt the craft of making movies when he was the screenplay writer for one of the movies his friend directed. The director is confident about ‘Jersey’ and he must be hay that he is going to release the film during the Summer, the longest vacation period in both the Telugu States.
