Tamil star Thalapathy Vijay is slowly but steadily taking significant strides in the Telugu film industry. He is now emerging as a notable face from Tamil dubbed movies in TFI. His last two films have been a success here. However, it doesn’t look like he will have it easy the next time.

Vijay’s next, referred to as Thalapathy65, is yet to start its regular shoot. The buzz, however, is that it would be a Pongal 2022 release. It means if it releases simultaneously, it will be clashing with Pawan Kalyan and Mahesh Babu’s movies. Naturally, one can understand why it would be difficult for Vijay. Unlike Master, he will face mightier competition.

Now, there is another buzz in the industry that both Pawan Kalyan and Mahesh Babu’s movies may arrive earlier than announced. It will happen if RRR is postponed and comes in their place. Even in this scenario, Thalapathy65 will find it difficult to get going in Telugu.

A Diwali release is ideal for Vijay as there will not be any Telugu biggies at that time. However, if its Sankranthi then, it is always a tricky situation. Not all years will be like 2021 when you don’t have a big star movie.

Even the Superstar Rajinikanth is struggling when arriving for Sankranthi. Vijay is still a starter compared to him. Let’s see how Vijay plans his films, keeping the growing Telugu market in mind.
