Tillu Square: Siddhu’s Shot to Level Up

Siddhu Jonnalagadda and Anupama Parameswaran are all set to dazzle the audience with “Tillu Square,” set to grace screens worldwide tomorrow. While the film’s success is significant for both actors, the stakes are particularly high for Siddhu.

Siddhu garnered attention with OTT hits like “Krishna and His Leela” and “Maa Vintha Gaadha Vinuma.” However, it was his breakthrough role in “DJ Tillu” that catapulted him as a popualr hero. The character Tillu became a cult in Telugu cinema, embedding itself into pop culture.

Although “DJ Tillu” received mixed reviews for its second half, the first half’s sheer entertainment value propelled it to blockbuster status. Many viewers revisited the first half repeatedly on OTT platforms due to the sheer fun it offered, often skipping the latter portion.

However, “Tillu Square” won’t have such luxury as it is an established franchise now. The sequel must maintain entertainment throughout, offering a wholesome and enjoyable experience from start to finish.

If the film lives up to its promises, it could mark a significant milestone for Siddhu Jonnalagadda. It would solidify his standing among audiences, proving that “DJ Tillu” was no fluke.

He would gain credibility among the audience and create an audience for himself just as Naveen Polishetty did with his unusual choice of films and roles. Siddhu too would carve out his niche audience and foster a loyal fan base.
