Box Office: How Did Kuberaa Start On Day 1?

The Telugu audience have been deprived off the big screen experience in the recent times with not many Telugu films being able to impress the audience to the fullest. This created a vacuum for big films to capitalise on, and this is precisely when Kuberaa arrived in theatres.

This film collaboration of Akkineni Nagarjuna, Dhanush and Sekhar Kammula. The film released in theatres on June 20 and here is a look at the kind of revenues that it generated on its opening day at the box office.

The film reportedly collected in the range of ₹16 crore gross in India on its opening day and this is a pretty impressive number for a film of this genre.

The primary contribution came from the Telugu market and expectedly so as well. But the fact that the Tamil audience did not show much interest despite this film featuring Dhanush is a topic of different discussion.

The Tamil audience have their own way when it comes to films, and that is on display again as blatant ignorance of Kuberaa is to be seen in the domestic Tamil belt.

The film had a superstar at the overseas box office as it reportedly collected in the range of 850 K dollars. This is primarily due to the kind of patronage that Sekhar has amongst the overseas audience, thanks to his sensible film making choices.

Overall, the film started off on a decent note at the box office and it has to be seen where it would end up over the weekend.
