It seems like Tollywood has become the debut platform for each and every new actress out there, be it international beauty pageant winners, fashion models from Mumbai or relatives of already established actresses. Talking about the phenomenon, Director Chandra Siddhartha is of the view that the success stories of actresses like Ileana, Kajal, Taapsee, Tamannaah and Asin who have all managed to make a place for themselves in the industry has inspired more and more artists to come forward and try their luck in Tollywood.
Leading producer Dil Raju says that with the increase in the number of small budget films that are being made in Telugu, the demand for fresh actresses have increased severely which has led to the appearances of these new actresses.
