Tollywood keen on adding 3rd State

Tamil dubbing films is a common thing for Telugu audiences and some of them turned out even bigger block busters than some Telugu straight films. Telugu films of big stars getting dubbed into Tamil and expanding the market is the latest trend in Tollywood.

Star heroes are keen to do bilinguals (Tamil-Telugu) as Tamil Film market is more wide-spread world wide and hence doing a Tamil film is going to expand their markets. Recently Tamil dubbing versions of Telugu movies ‘Srimanthudu’ and ‘S/O Satyamurthy’ performed well encouraging our stars to explore Tamil market.

Stylish Star Allu Arjun is going to do a straight Tamil film next year and this would be under a production banner from Tamil Nadu not his on his home banner. This shows that Tamil producers are keen to introduce some saleable Telugu star heroes to Tamil market as their dubbed films did extremely well in TN.

With this trend, it’s clear that Tollywood is adding a 3rd State besides Telangana and AP. Only that, this would take some time. Mahesh and Bunny are on the way already with a clear perception on expansion. And even NTR movie ‘Naanaku Premato’ Tamil version is going to be released in TN.
