Gone are the days when Tollywood used to shoot more in the country sides. Films shot in Village sides used to have good comedy and natural locations. But the current GenX heroes have different ideas. Shootings these days have posh locations and mostly being shot in metropolitan cities and foreign countries. This new trend is killing the livelihood of several orthodox comedians like LB Sri Ram, Kondavalasa, who are mostly suited to this rural side comedy.
Also Village shoots are more convenient and low cost affairs. Most recent film which extensively shot in country side is Ram’s Ongole Gitta. The production cost of the movie is remarkably decreased and it helped the producer to sustain despite the movie being a flop. Lets see if the other heroes understand this too!
