Tollywood Producers To Sit On Hunger Strike

Tollywood producers will set on a relay hunger strike from 10 am on December 19. The strike has been called to address two issues in particular. The producers have requested the media to support them and give good coverage to their grievances.

During the producers’ council meeting held on September 6, it was decided that elections must be held within 15 days of the meeting. However, the council has made no efforts towards this decision and many producers are disappointed with the slack response of the council.

Another reason for the strike is digital providers Qube, UFO, and Scrabble turning into a bane for producers. They all come under the umbrella company UFO and provide various digital projection options for theatres. They are also market leaders in in-film advertising. The producers are demanding that the above-mentioned digital providers reduce their prices.
