Tollywood Sankranthi Movies – U.S. Release Status!

While we have the official update that mass star Vijay Ilayapathy’s Pongal movie ‘Master’ is going to release in 100 locations in the USA, there is no hint or any official update on the other three Telugu straight films releasing for the coming Sankranthi as the festival releases.

Going by their past films, all the three heroes aka Ravi Teja, Ram Pothineni and Bellamkonda Sai Srinivas haven’t been overseas favourites. So, it’s unlikely that ‘Krack’, ‘RED’ and ‘Alludu Adhurs’ are going to have an overseas release in the US.

Looking at the recent experience of the first COVID film, Sai Dharam Tej’s ‘Solo Brathuke So Better’ and how it fared in the US, there would be no releasing the above-mentioned straight movies in the US, as per the trade experts opinion, now. But, let’s wait and see.

On the other hand, ‘Master’ has a chance because of Vijay though Tamil folks in the US were never keen to give big numbers except for Rajnikanth, so far. Here, there is an advantage regarding overseas release because Tamil films pull major numbers from the overseas releases in countries like Malaysia and Singapore where there is a significant Tamil population.
