A few days back there was some buzz about some international experts coming to India to resolve the piracy problem in Tollywood which has caused a lot of loss to the film industry. The AP Film Chamber of Commerce decided to take matters into their hands once the much-awaited film ‘Attarintiki Daredi’ was leaked on the internet even before its screening. It was reported that two experts from the United States of America have been invited to tackle this problem.
The latest we hear is that the International Intellectual Property Alliance (IIPA) which is a Washington based organization will help in fighting piracy and provide assistance to the APFCC (Andhra Pradesh Film Chamber of Commerce). There was a meeting on January 8th where the experts were briefed about the current situation and they assured the APFCC about sharing their best practices on combating piracy.
