Too much tuning with Mahesh spoiled 3rd

There was a time when film maker Guna Sekhar did back to back films with Prince Mahesh Babu. Their first combination ‘Okkadu’ was a game changer for Mahesh Babu in Telugu film industry and when the director joined hands for their next ‘Arjun’, the expectations had been high and hence couldn’t match up to the hype and the movie remained reasonably an above average film though a good one.

Guna reveals that Mahesh believed in him and hence offered back to back films to him, in fact three films in a row. When it came to their third combo ‘Sainikudu’, the tuning between them was high and this too much tuning spoiled the film opines Guna Sekhar. They took many liberties but the story couldn’t sail tbrough.

Interestingly, it had been the same with Chiranjeevi as well. After successful ‘Choodaalani Undi’, their combo ‘Mrugaraju’ didn’t work at all. Guna puts blame on the story which is not his own but Naga Babu’s story inspired from a Hollywood movie.
