Top producer gives director his share for dates

Ayan Mukharjee with films like Wake Up Sid and Yeh Jawani Hai Diwani to his credit is clearly one of the most in demand and top directors in Bollywood. So when he announced that his next film is going to be with Ranbir Kapoor again, it became one of the hottest projects awaited.

But before the film could take off producer Karan Johar announced another film starring the Kapoor lad in it which marks the return of Aishwarya Rai to big budget commercial venture again. This new film which also stars PK fame Anushka Sharma as heroine has become a new crazy project for the star and it has also resulted in the Ayan Mukharjee project being delayed further. The dates which the actor has given to his Wake Up Sid director is now being used for Karan Johar’s film.

Producer Karan Johar being a gentleman he is, as a mark of professionalism has decided to share producer credit with Ayan Mukharjee instead. Now that is a win-win situation for all parties involved, isn’t it?
