Trade: Alia’s Wrong Turn From ‘South’

Bollywood beauty Alia Bhatt debuted in South Indian cinema with RRR. Incidentally, the actress then deleted all recent RRR-related snaps from her Instagram handle, which led to speculation that she is not in the best of terms with RRR unit, amid rumors that she feels underutilized by Rajamouli in the action drama.

Now, rumors are rife that Alia has walked out of Jr NTR’s NTR30 as well. These speculations are spreading like wildfire. If that is the case, this might be a wrong turn by Alia.

At a time when South Indian cinema is ruling the roost, Bollywood stars should take every opportunity to make it big down South. For instance, even Deepika Padukone, who is on the Bollywood top chair along with Alia is raring to make her debut with Prabhas’s Project K.

While it is unclear if something is actually wrong between Alia and RRR team, the right option for her might have been to stay with NTR30. She could have paired with NTR, who is regarded as one of the finest actors. The coming together of these two extremely talented actors could have worked well not just for NTR30, but also Alia.

Amid rumors of a rift with RRR, Alia’s decision to opt out of NTR30 might lead to negative PR. This might damage her prospects down South.
