Trailer talk: Geethanjali – predictable but fun

The theatrical trailer of Geethanjali a horror comedy backed by Kona Venkat is out. The first impression one gets looking at the trailer is a positive one. The comedy ensemble cast works and the punches are felt and finally a suspense is maintained despite nothing out of box or fresh element present in it. The downside may be its reminiscent of a film falling under the same genre that is still fresh in public’s memory.

The cast comprising of all comedians along with Anjali seems to have worked well here. It’s as if the comedians are participating in one gag after the other. Also the film is coming as a big test for writer Kona Venkat. He provides the dialogues and screenplay for the film and it doesn’t have any stars in it. Will he succeed in his endeavour or not, we have to wait and see but the trailer has done its job.
