Trailer talk: Yamaleela 2 – cashing in on the Yamaleela

Yamaleela the film that released in 90’s is one of most popular films in the ‘Yama’ genre that is extremely popular among Telugu audience, even otherwise the film is very popular thanks to the perfect combination of comedy, sentiment and fantasy. When a sequel of such a film is announced naturally there would be excitement but one look at the theatrical trailer and all the hopes would be dashed.

Yamaleela 2 is no patch on Yamaleela and it seems to be cashing in on the popularity of the old film. Nothing in the trailer works including the comedy of Brahmanandam. The less said about the hero the better. Mohan Babu seems to be going through the grind without any interest at all. Overall the first impression is extremely bad but we do hope the actual film is better than what is shown in the trailer.
