Trisha gets Superstar title- first for gen X heroines

Have you ever seen a film where a heroine’s name is prefixed with a title like our star heroes? If you are a moviegoer from the past decade chances are you might not have seen such thing happen ever on screen.

But the fact is it did occur in the past with heroine Vijayashanti who was given the titled Lady Superstar. After a very long gap Trisha is going to be the next heroine to have such a title for her. It makes Trisha the first actress among her generation to be given such honor.

For her upcoming bi-lingual film Nayaki, Trisha will be conferred with the screen title ‘Padayappa’ on screen. It’s a Superstar Rajinikanth movie name, for those unaware. A suitable title is being looked into for the Telugu version as well. Let’s see if they can come up with a Telugu equivalent of the Tamil title.
