Venkatesh-Trivikram’s Aadarsha Kutumbam has collected approximately Rs. 36 crores gross worldwide in its first two days. The film has grossed around Rs. 20 crores in the Telugu states, including GST.
The film is also showing a decent trend in the US market. After collecting $648K through premieres and Day 1, it added another $262K on Saturday. Its total US gross now stands at approximately $910K.
However, bigger numbers were expected from a Trivikram film in the US, which is considered his strong market.
According to trade estimates, Aadarsha Kutumbam needs around Rs. 120 crores gross worldwide to reach its breakeven target.
With Rs. 36 crores in the first two days, the film still has a long way to go. The coming days will be crucial in determining whether it can maintain its momentum and move closer to the target. Whether the Diwali holiday season will help the film boost its collections remains to be seen.
The film needs a strong hold over the weekdays and another massive weekend to have a realistic chance of reaching breakeven.
