Underestimated Director Deserves Prabhas?

Bollywood film director Siddharth Anand is a hot property in Hindi cinema. After box office blockbuster War, he did Pathan which again went on a good run at the ticket counters. His latest film, Fighter has also opened to very good reviews.

Fighter is starting poorly in box office terms as the advances aren’t on the expected level. But the positive reviews should help the cause. The film is being termed as an excellent actioner by many reputed Hindi media individuals.

It is known that there has been a talk that Siddharth is to work with Prabhas for a film and Mythri Movie Makers had already paid advances to both of them. This project is coming back to the news again now after Fighter’s release.

Despite Siddharth’s impressive recent track record, he is grossly underestimated by a section of Prabhas’s fans as they say he makes only style over substance action films. This section of Prabhas’s fans fear that these films don’t have Telugu nativity and won’t work here.

But Siddharth’s record is just too good to be turned down. If at all Prabhas decides to work with Siddharth, whatever might be the Telugu prospects, the Hindi prospects will certainly be good. Siddharth is delivering winning action films that are being lapped up by Hindi folk. This is the kind of box office push that Prabhas needs in the Hindi belt.

Considering Prabhas’s choice of directors in the recent past, Siddharth weighs way above most of them and certainly deserves Prabhas’s dates.
