Unfair Comparision: Dhanush victory on Rajnikanth

‘Like father like son’ is a famous saying in English. But it seems the time has come to change the English idiom a bit to suit to the modern days…’Like father-in-law like son-in-law’. The reason is superstar Rajnikanth and his son-in-law actor Dhanush. Both of them aren’t physically handsome by the existing psuedo parameters of fashion and beauty experts. And hence absolutely no hero material in films. But both of them rewrote the fashion parameters and emerged winners in their film career.

One more common point is; like Rajikanth, Dhanush also ventured into Bollywood movies and successfully bagged National award, critics’ applause and common audience praises even. Now that Dhanush has achieved a rare feat regarding his social networking platforms. His twitter account recorded more than a million followers overtaking his father-in-law Rajnikanth (9,29,000) and Mahesh Babu (9,16,000).

But this comparision is a little bit unfair because Dhanush joined twitter in 2010 and Rajni joined twitter just a few months ago. Anyway, this shows Dhanush’s increasing popularity all over the country because of being a regular twiteratti and also doing Bollywood movies which have far more reach. In the coming days, cine buffs see popularity meter going high for Dhanush because of his Bollywood venture ‘Shamitaab’ starring alongside Amitabh Bachan, Rekha and Kamal’s second daughter (Akshara Haasan’s debut).
