Uppena Director Gives Clarity on NTR

‘Uppena’ is a mega hero’s launch movie which gave life to three debutantes at a time aka the director, the hero and the heroine. But, there is NTR’s connection with the movie and his name seems to be cropping up in the promotional interviews, quite often.

So, when would be director Buchi Babu’s film with NTR? The director gave clarity that the story is still in his mind and he didn’t yet tell anything about it to NTR. It’s still in the discussions stage and therefore, nothing to tell about it, as of now.

The director reminisced his bonding with NTR and how the Nandamuri hero believed him and one of the first people who thought that the film will be a blockbuster. ‘He doesn’t behave like a star hero. NTR owns people big time,” says Buchi Babu.

Talking about ‘Uppena’, if the movie had opted for an OTT release, he would have quit making movies for the big screen and gone back home. but, the producers of ‘Uppena’ held steadfast during the pandemic lockdown and waited till the theatres opened up.
