US BO: Will 2017 Trend Continue In 2018 As Well?

The US box office has been witnessing a dreadful run in the recent past. Some big ticket movies proved to be a nightmare for the distributors here. As usual, it has been the small to medium budgets fares that are giving relief to the grieving souls, however small it may be.

In the past four weeks, there has been a movie each week that has been providing returns to the buyers. The films are Bhaagamathie, Chalo, Tholi Prema, and Awe. They are all going to break even, first and foremost, and then generate small profits.

The four films have cumulatively collected almost 3 Million at the US box office, once again, highlighting the huge potential of the market and how the biggies keep squandering the chances with substandard products.

The trend was the same last year too where the small to medium budgets films were ‘big’ profit ventures. Will the same trend continue this year as well or will the biggies surprise with good content? Rangasthalam will be next big film in the US. All eyes are on it to change the existing trend.
