US BO: Comedy Outperforms Action

Nikhil’s Spy performed decently despite poor content and mixed reviews for the first two days in the US markets, collecting $302,272. However, the movie failed to capitalize on the long weekend.

On Saturday, during a crucial weekend holiday, ‘Spy’ only collected $31,859 (at 10 PM EST), indicating a significant drop in collections. It is unlikely to pick up from this point.

On the other hand, the comedy entertainer Samajavagaramana has performed very well, surpassing the $100K mark at 10 PM EST and reaching a total gross of $244,921.

Samajavagaramana is expected to continue its strong performance over the next few days, benefiting from the long weekend and positive word-of-mouth and web reviews.

Its success in the second week will determine how far it can go, with a potential to reach $500K.
