The film made decent collections by collecting more than $513 K on the first day (including premieres) at the USA box office. This is a decent number for a family entertainer. The trade analysts predict that the film would do much better during the weekend, especially on Saturday, Sunday the film would run riot. In U.S. Monday is a holiday so the long weekend advantage will help the film to get more revenues.
F3, released by Prime Media in the USA, will easily beat F2’s weekend collection of $928 K. F3’s performance is all the more commendable because Tom Cruise’s Top Gun Maverick is having a very strong run in the U.S and F3 is getting only small screens where the seating is less.
Top Gun is doing record-breaking business in North America and may well touch $150 million over the four-day holiday weekend.
