US calls Hyderabad Streets as dangerous!

Overseas Security Council (United States department of State Bureau of Diplomatic Security) which monitors the security of its citizens visiting various countries, warned its citizens visiting Hyderabad. In its latest safety report, the Council termed Hyderabad Streets as dangerous.

The council arrived at this conclusion due to poor traffic management, poor civic infrastructure and over all the rains that flood the rood. The report said ‘Heavy Traffic is the norm’ of the city with every thing including unattended livestock crowding the roads.

The report asked the visiting US citizens to be very careful in Hyderabad especially while crossing the streets even in marked pedestrian areas and also to stay alert while travelling on two-wheelers. Population of Hyderabad is growing by 8% annually but the city’s civic infrastructure is struggling to keep pace with the rapid growth, which is resulting in heavy traffic congestion.
