The result – Telugu films Prati Roju Pandaage and Ruler are getting shows at not so desirable timings and screens. Even though there might be a decent occupancy, the numbers might not be to everyone’s expectation. The early indications point towards that already.
Prati Roju Pandaage riding in the decent combination of director Maruthi and actor Sai Dharam Tej is expected to open better, initially. The final numbers would still depend on the talk it gets from the early shows.
Ruler has no real hopes anywhere, but with a star, a minimal number is reached usually. It might have been possible under normal circumstances. But under the current scenario, much worse is feared among the trade and the fans.
Additionally, Telugu movies have to deal with other language competition. Karthi starrer Donga and Salman Khan’s Dabangg 3 are also arriving on December 20th. The screens get shared further. It means only the film with better word of mouth would survive the weekend, and go beyond.
