US BO: Decent But Not Enough For SSR

The numbers are coming in for Nani’s Shyam Singha Roy in the US. The movie has so far collected $412K. It is a decent number, but it is not enough to break even.

Shyam Singha Roy will have to reportedly collect nearly a Million in the US to break even. At the end of Saturday, which constitutes a major part of the run of the movie in the US market, the number has to yet reach the halfway mark.

The Sunday and the hold in the rest of the week will be critical for Shyam Singha Roy’s recovery in the US. The competition from existing Telugu movies and multiple holiday Hollywood releases seems to be taking the toll here.

Shyam Singha Roy has mostly got favourable word of mouth. Nani’s performance and his pairing with Sai Pallavi have come under praise. But, it looks like the serious theme is playing its part here.

We have to see how Shyam Singha Roy fares from here. It has got the rest of days and another weekend before the monster RRR arrives in the first week of January.
