U.S. BO: Such Collections Only Possible Due To Clash

Sankranthi biggies, Megastar Chiranjeevi’s Waltair Veerayya and Nandamuri Balakrishna’s Veera Simha Reddy are off to a flyer as far as pre-sales are concerned at the US box office.

Surprisingly, Veera Simha Reddy is leading with $360K, and Waltair Veerayya is also catching up at a fast pace at $300K. These are phenomenal numbers in the US for senior heroes in this genre of films.

It can be said that a $500K premiere looks sure shot for both films as there are still 2-3 days left. The premiere collections can even cross $600K looking at the pace which would be a terrific result for both films.

A section of Mega fans on social media were bashing the makers of Veera Simha Reddy for postponing their film to Sankranthi and clashing with Waltair Veerayya when they could have released it in December. They felt that a clash with Veera Simha Reddy would dent the collections of Waltair Veerayya.

But now after seeing the USA premiere advance sale, it can be safely said that Waltair Veerayya couldn’t have seen such numbers without a clash. The clash gave the much-needed mileage and hype for both films that can be seen in the pre-sales.

Now it all depends on the content and it will be exciting to see which film will cover the maximum distance at the US box office.
