US BO: Tiger 3 vs. Leo – Who Lit the Fire?

The much-hyped Tiger 3 from the YRF Spy Universe is now out, and the reviews are quite mixed. However, in the next few days, the film is expected to post good collections, fueled by the franchise hype and the festive season.

Despite having all-day premieres in North America, shows starting from 11 AM on Saturday, Tiger 3 failed to ignite fireworks at the box office.

It has collected $1,008,382, a decent number for a regular commercial film but relatively low for a pan-India, high-scale film from the blockbuster YRF franchise.

In contrast, a recent Tamil film by Lokesh Kanagaraj collected $1.8 million from weekday premieres.

While Hindi films traditionally have strong legs at the U.S. box office, Tiger 3 might surpass LEO in its lifetime run.

However, the opening premiere numbers indicate the audience’s anticipation and the hype surrounding the film
