Title Change or Rally Round the Controversy?

For the greater good of the movie Varun Tej’s ‘Valmiki’ was postponed and it would be arriving a week later after Nani’s ‘Gangleader’. This is a good call from the makers of the movie as unnecessary collections between medium budget movies means dent into their openings.

Here, there is a controversy on the title of ‘Valmiki‘. The community with the same name has objections to the tile as there is a gun in the title and that has actually stirred the sentiments of the particular community. So, it’s up to the makers to either retain the title or else sail along with the controversy.

Changing the title at this time may not work at this time might not be beneficiary as the title has already registered well with the audiences. Any change means they would have to start all over again and create buzz around the title.
