Director Allegations On Heroine, What’s Her Reply?

The film industry is often loaded with controversies and differences of opinion ever so frequently. As similar scenario is unfolding in the case of actress Varalakshmi Sarathkumar now.

The director of an upcoming film titled Police Station which has Varalakshmi Sarathkumar in one of the principal roles made a series of shocking allegations.

Speaking with the Media yesterday, the Director said Varalakshmi was paid ₹75 lakh for the film and she was given additional compensation for promotional interviews as well but she didn’t turn up for the same.

The Director clearly stated that the actress did not fulfil her basic duty of promoting the film, despite receiving the remuneration, and he was clearly distraught by the same.

Now the actress has reacted to the situation, and she had a very subtle reply. She pointed out that her duty is to perform the demands of a film making process and that’s about it. She confidently said she did full justice to her character and commitment towards the film.

“I was there when they needed me, and I performed my duty session an actor. I am fully informed about what Director said, but I don’t want to react to it at this point.” Varalakshmi said as she maintained a very professional tone.

Well, certain people might have expected Varalakshmi to react very hard to this topic, she kept it very simple and subtle. Meanwhile, this controversy could have gained some sort of significance to the film, which is releasing on June 12.
