In this week’s release Yashoda, Varalaxmi plays a sophiticated character of a beauty pageant contestant, but it didn’t create much of an impact. Despite her performance being decent, the audience couldn’t connect with her in that role.
So it is being said that Varalaxmi suits only raw and rustic characters. Such characters come naturally to her maybe because of the Tamil flavor in her acting.
Now she is doing another powerful ‘oora mass’ role in Balakrishna’s upcoming action entertainer, Veera Simha Reddy. She is playing the wife of the main villain, Musali Madugu Pratap Reddy, played by Kannada actor Duniya Vijay. Inside reports suggest that director Gopichand Malineni has again extracted the best performance from Varalaxmi in the film.
It will be interesting to see if Varalaxmi can create the same impact as Krack in Veera Simha Reddy or not.
