The makers of Varna had invested a bomb on their recent project, Varna. The bilingual movie is easily one of the costliest movie ever made in the South. Now that the movie is getting ready for release, the makers are finding it tough to market it. The prices quoted for the Telugu version is almost on par with several star hero films in Telugu and distributors are hesitant to invest such an amount.
The movie is also not carrying enough hype it should be doing despite the good audio and high graphic content. The team is looking at Anushka to aggressively promote the movie in Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu so that they get good openings in both the states. Despite her busy schedule, Anushka reportedly allotted some dates to promote the movie. Lets see if she brings smile on the faces of the makers!
