Varun Tej going Rana’s way?

Is Varun Tej, son of Nagababu going the Daggaubati Rana way? That is question that immediately pops up in one’s mind when they hear about the upcoming projects in the pipeline for the soon to debut actor. Sources in the industry say that the actor has reportedly agreed to do films with directors Puri Jagannadh and Krish coming up.

Remember Rana too after making a classy debut with a film like Leader under the direction of Sekhar Kammula went on to do films with similar directors. He did Nenu Na Rakshasi with Puri Jagannadh and Krishnam Vande Jagadgurum with Krish. Both of these films were failures at the box office but gave him some critical acclaim. Unlike Rana, Varun Tej is solely trying to make a career in Telugu film industry, will a similar run of films work for him as he is mostly unknown identity outside the two Telugu states? Or will he be making amends to the mistakes committed by Rana and do films with those directors that they are comfortable with?

If the choice of directors is true it will be tricky situation for sure for the actor. Let’s see what kind of stories and scripts he comes up with them. For now all the concentration is on Mukunda directed by Srikanth Addala though.
