First Look Out – WW Rights Sold

It is not even twenty-four hours since the first look of Varun Tej’s new film Tholiprema is out. And already the worldwide theatrical rights and satellite rights have been lapped up by big names.

Dil Raju has taken the distribution rights of Tholiprema for 18Cr. It is a significant amount for a second league star and positively so for Varun Tej who has had no film collect that much barring Fidaa. There is also a sentimental reason, we guess, as Dil Raju had distributed and tasted blockbuster success with the original Tholiprema released in 1998.

Sun Network has taken the satellite rights for an undisclosed price. Together, the rights have earned enough for the makers to get table profit even before the release of Tholiprema. The Varun Tej and Rashi Khanna starrer release worldwide on February 9. Newcomer Venki Atluri directs the love story.
