Venkaiah Naidu – Does he deserve the blame?

With Central government almost rejecting the Special Status to Andhra Pradesh, the daggers are once again out on Venkaiah Naidu demanding his head. Interestingly this time Venkaiah is cornered by his own people. BJP State IT Cell is actively maligning Venkaiah’s image in Public by trying to attribute the failure to Venkaiah than the party. The false propaganda also includes calling Special Status for AP not the agenda of BJP but personal Agenda of Venkaiah Naidu pressed up on the party.

They say Venkaiah unilaterally announced it in parliament with out consulting the party. Special Status promise is even placed in BJP’s AP Manifesto but they say it is not in the National Manifesto. They even go on to say State Manifesto need not be honoured since BJP did not win Andhra Pradesh elections. All the attempts clearly show that Venkaiah Naidu is made a scapegoat for the Central government’s secret ambitions and reasons behind not helping the truncated state.

Actually, Venkaiah Naidu is trying his level best to help the state. His Urban Development Ministry helped AP than any other ministries at the Center. But Special Status is not in the purview of Venkaiah. More than the technical or financial reasons, political reasons are stalling Special Status of Andhra Pradesh. Venkaiah is in a catch 22 situation held between his party high command’s political ambitions in the state and his own state future.
