Venkatesh’s Strange Coincidence!

Teaming up with Sailesh Kolanu, the director behind the successful ‘HIT’ franchise, Venkatesh embarked on an action thriller journey in his 75th film, “Saindhav.”

Venkatesh has done very few solo films in the past decade which are not remakes. Shadow, Babu Bangaram, and now Saindhav. Unfortunately, all three films turned out to be disappointments in terms of script.

Venkatesh ventures into the action genre, delivering a dignified performance. He dons the role of SaiKO and exhibits a range of emotional nuances, from the tender affection of a father to the relentless demeanor of an assassin.

Yet the film turned out to be extremely dull. It attempts to capture the intensity of Hollywood hits like John Wick but struggles to connect emotionally. The emotional scenes don’t work due to the script’s incoherence. The focus on action sequences turns the film into a showcase for Venkatesh’s action skills rather than a compelling story.

Venkatesh is outstanding in action but for some strange coincidence, the scripts don’t support the actor resulting in an underwhelming box office performance whenever he tries the action genre.
