Venky Mama Out, Chanakya In!

The buzz doing the rounds in the industry, for the past few days is that the Victory Venkatesh and Naga Chaitanya starrer Venky Mama has been postponed. It was slated to arrive for Dussera. The latest one hears is that Gopichand starrer Chanakya is coming in its place.

The injury to Victory Venkatesh is the primary reason. It is followed by the number of days of the shoot. The senior star cannot manage those many days with instant relief management. It could have been possible to complete otherwise. As there are other movies in the pipeline for the star, needless over-enthusiasm could lead to his schedule getting haywire later.

Keeping all that in mind, a decision seems to be taken to postpone Venky Mama to Diwali, which is just a few weeks away. Also, the festival time is practically open right now, with only Allari Naresh’s Bangaru Bullodu slated to arrive.

Meanwhile, the makers of Gopichand starrer Chanakya who initially planned to arrive in September are looking at taking the Venky Mama slot as soon as an official announcement is made.

One thing is clear though, the biggie Sye Raa will have one film or the other as competition during the Dussera holidays.
