Veteran Actress Suffering from Acute Asthma

Veteran actress Jayanthi was hospitalized in Bangalore due to severe breathing problems. She was diagnosed with chronic severe asthma and acute respiratory failure. However, her son confirmed that she is responding well to the treatment.

For yesteryear audiences, veteran actress Jayanthi’s name is quite a known thing. The actress who had acted in almost all the South Indian languages across film industries has been staying in Bangalore. She did quite a number of films in Telugu with star heroes of 1960s, 1070s and 80s.

She was in the news when she alleged that Mohan Babu slapped her while she was acting in the actor’s ‘Pedarayudu’. The last we have seen her in a Telugu film was in 2005. In the early years of her career, Jayanthi has paired opposite almost all the acclaimed heroes in South.
