Besides the praise on Vijay, RGV appreciated the restrained demeanor and intensity of the debutante director, Sandeep Reddy Vanga.

He said that Sandeep Reddy is the benchmark for both the established and the aspiring directors. ‘Arjun Reddy’ is turning a cult movie for youth and Vijay Devarakonda is certainly promising to become the first ever star hero from Telangana State.
