Vijay Deverakonda Can’t Afford Being Jobless

After the debacle of Liger, Vijay Deverakonda had pinned all his hopes on Kushi opposite Samantha directed by Shiva Nirvana. But the film has hit a roadblock due to Samantha’s health condition. The film was supposed to hit the screens during Christmas 2022 but now has been postponed to Summer 2023.

There is no clarity about when the project will go on to the sets again and when the film will complete its shoot. Vijay Deverakonda is also clueless about how to proceed next.

Other than Kushi he has no project in his hand as of now. There were reports that he has a project lined up with Sukumar but it might not happen in the near future as Sukumar has hit the big league with Pushpa and might continue working with the biggest superstars.

No upcoming star can afford to sit idle when he has just delivered a disaster. Vijay Deverakonda has to deliver a big hit as soon as possible to remain in the race. But all big directors are busy with pan-India projects.

So Vijay has to go ahead with a project directed by a mid-range director like Rahul Sankrityan of Taxiwala fame. There are reports that Vijay has okayed Gowtam Tinnanuri’s script which was rejected by Ram Charan.

Vijay can’t afford to be jobless and he also can’t afford to sign his next haphazardly. It’s a tricky situation and it will be interesting to see how Rowdy star handles it.
