Vijay Deverakonda Confident About Ranabaali
Ranabaali, starring Vijay Deverakonda and Rashmika Mandanna, is among the upcoming pan-India releases of the festive season. With its trailer and promotional material generating interest around its historical setting, the film was promoted at its pre-release event in Hyderabad, where Vijay spoke about the project and the team behind it.
Vijay’s speech indicated that his confidence in Ranabaali comes from the story’s foundation and the director’s vision. He described how Rahul explored rural traditions, folk narratives, jatara celebrations and stories of local heroes before shaping the film. During the process, the director came across lesser-known historical chapters that influenced the project. Vijay felt that the combination of a period setting and a relevant subject made the film interesting.
Speaking about Rahul’s approach to filmmaking, Vijay said that the director does not make films simply to keep his career moving forward; instead, he focuses on telling stories. He also credited Mythri Movie Makers for playing a role in taking Telugu cinema to a global audience, noting that the production house brings stories to the screen on a large scale when it believes in the content. His words reflected the collective effort behind Ranabaali and the confidence the team has placed in the project.
Vijay also spoke about the film’s casting and music. He appreciated Rashmika’s growth and dedication, emphasising that she was the right person to portray the female lead and deliver the intended performance alongside him. He also mentioned the “Endhayya Saami” song by Ajay–Atul.
Directed by Rahul Sankrityan, the period action film is presented by T-Series and produced by Naveen Yerneni and Y. Ravi Shankar under the Mythri Movie Makers banner. With the film scheduled to release worldwide on October 16, Vijay invited audiences to watch Ranabaali in theatres and expressed confidence in the film.
