Thalapathy Vijay is one of the big stars in Tamil cinema and he is venturing into Tamil Nadu Assembly elections now as his TVK is contesting the upcoming polls on April 23. But this isn’t the only thing that Vijay must be bothered about as he received a couple of reprimands at court today.
Firstly, we have the divorce proceedings case, which was filed by Vijay’s wife Sangeeta. This case came to a hearing today, and Vijay was supposed to attend the session.
Notably, Vijay asked for permission to appear for investigation virtually. But the court was having none of it, as it was made very clear that Vijay and his wife Sangeeta must definitely appear physically, and the next hearing has been postponed to June 15.
And there is another bad news for Vijay as the Madras High Court found discrepancies in his election affidavit. It was established in principal that Vijay had not disclosed the exact details of 100 crore assets in the affidavit.
The court verbally reprimanded Vijay and asked him to submit the nature of these assets and crucial details regarding the same as hiding this aspect is against the regulation.
Vijay’s attempt to skip court hearing in divorce case and also the election affidavit case regarding the non disclosure of 100 crore worth assets have both come back to haunt him now.
