Vijay set for a new government ad shoot.
Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Vijay is reportedly set to face the camera again, but this time not for a movie. He is expected to feature in a big-budget government advertisement film directed by Gautham Vasudev Menon.
According to reports, Vijay has allotted two days for the shoot. Details about the advertisement’s concept and campaign are yet to be revealed. The project is expected to be taken up after the state by-elections.
The development is interesting because Vijay had announced his exit from films after entering politics. Jana Nayagan was his final film, and after taking charge as Tamil Nadu Chief Minister, it was widely assumed that he would no longer appear before the camera or wear makeup for any screen assignment.
But this government advertisement brings an unexpected twist. Vijay may not return to films, but audiences could get to see him on screen again, this time in a completely different role.
The advertisement could also be screened in cinemas before films as part of an awareness program, giving fans another opportunity to see Vijay on the big screen.
With Gautham Menon directing the project and Vijay reportedly allotting two days for the shoot, the advertisement has already caught the attention of both film fans and the public.
