Vijay’s highly anticipated film The Greatest Of All Time, directed by Venkat Prabhu, is set to release on September 5th. The trailer has been released, igniting excitement among fans with a showcase of Vijay’s powerful moments in a stylish action thriller backdrop.
The Greatest Of All Time carries sky-high expectations, especially as this is the actor’s second-to-last film before his rumored political entry. However, the three singles previously released from the movie faced backlash for not meeting audience expectations.
The trailer is cut to be fast-paced, but it feels like an outdated 90s action film with numerous action sequences. Vijay’s look, which has already been trolled, is likely to face further scrutiny, particularly due to the final dialogue in the trailer—”Do you think you can stop me?”—which has become a target for trolling.
Now, it all depends on Vijay’s stardom to carry the film in Tamil. As for audiences in other languages, there seems to be little to get excited about.
Despite the poor response to the singles, it appears that The GOAT is attempting to get back on track with this packaged trailer. Let’s wait and see what Venkat Prabhu has in store for us with Vijay on September 5th.
