After their intimate wedding on February 26 in Udaipur, newlyweds Rashmika Mandanna and Vijay Deverakonda chose to begin their married life on a traditional note.
Soon after returning to Hyderabad, the couple visited the Tirupati Tirumala Temple to seek the blessings of Lord Venkateswara. They offered prayers together, starting their new journey with faith and gratitude.
From there, they traveled to Vijay’s native village, Thummanpet in Nagarkurnool, Mahbubnagar district, where he recently built a farmhouse. The villagers welcomed them warmly with traditional rituals at the entrance. Elders performed aarti and blessed the newlyweds before escorting them to the farmhouse.
The couple performed a Gruhapravesam ceremony and later took part in a Satyanarayana Swamy Vratham. Vijay kept his look simple, while Rashmika wore a rich dark blue silk saree. Photos of her participating in Tulasi pooja like a traditional Telugu daughter-in-law quickly went viral, with many appreciating how gracefully she embraced the customs.
Vijay also hosted a grand feast for villagers and fans. Reports say over 2,000 people attended the community meal, which featured traditional Telangana dishes like rice with muddapappu and avakaya, country chicken curry, mutton curry, and sweets. Locals praised his gesture and generosity.
After completing the village celebrations, the couple returned to Hyderabad. Preparations are now underway for a grand wedding reception on March 4, where several film celebrities and political leaders are expected to attend. Fans are eagerly waiting to see the next celebration in the city.
