Never evaded taxes says controversial star

It was the tax raids episode that plagued the release of new film of Tamil star Vijay, last week. Puli release had to be delayed courtesy of the raids by the IT officials which in turn resulted in the loss of opening collections.

But more than the delay and raids and collections what affected Vijay more was reports that started gaining momentum from the moment raids happened that he has been evading taxes for as many as five years. Those reports were maligning his clean and law abiding image.

However, today the star revealed to the media that he was surprised to see such reports getting published and clarified that he has never ever evaded taxes. Even when the raids happened the star said that he co-operated fully till the officials were satisfied. The star’s words now makes us wonder if such false reports too were all orchestrated by vested interest to create negativity around him?
